“Bel canto” means “beautiful singing”. It is a very specific approach to classical vocalism that yields very specific results, including mastery of breath, passaggio, portamento, vocal health and longevity, and many other benefits. This time-honored method is the basis for private lessons, courses, and master classes that Myron Myers teaches and uses in his own performances.

Bringing vocal music vibrantly to life relies on a skill rarely taught in universities and conservatories, namely the emotional preparation of the texts of art song, oratorio, and opera as theatrical monologue.
